These medical scholarships are open to US and Canadian citizens enrolled full-time and studying medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy or medical technology. Applicants in undergraduate programs must be in 3rd or 4th year of college, and nursing students must have finished one year or schooling. MD or DDS candidates must be in their second year of medical school or dental school. Pre-med students are not eligible. Preference is given to students of Christian background. These medical scholarships are for students who were in the Head Start program and plan to attend a 4 year college or university, 2 year community college, or vocational/technical school and major in a medical field. These Physician Assistant scholarships are for veterans and reserve personnel who are studying to become physician assistants. Applicants must be honorably discharged member of the US military, or active member of guard or reserve unit. These medical scholarships were for high school juniors and seniors who have conducted original research on a health related issue, that uses epidemiology to explore the patterns of disease, illness and injury within populations. This scholarship program ended in 2011.
