Lowes Scholarship

The Lowes Scholarship, was previously one of the corporate scholarships for high school seniors. They offered over $600,000 in scholarships for college students in the form of community scholarships and employee scholarships.

Note: Lowes is NOT offering the Lowes Scholarship for high school seniors, but does offer a scholarship for their employees. We suggest you look at other Scholarships for High School Seniors and Scholarships for College Students.

The Lowe’s Scholarship was awarded to 140 high school seniors who plan to enroll full time as a freshmen in the fall at a US college or university.

Scholarship Award Amount - $2500

Lowes Scholarships Eligibility:

The scholarship program was open to current high school seniors in the United states, with a minimum 3.25 GPA. Applicants must show a record of commitment to their community through community service, leadership, or work experience.

The scholarship was open to community members and Lowe's employees and dependents. It was funded by Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation.

Lowes Scholarship Application

I emailed Lowe's in December 2013 and received the following response:

"Thank you for reaching out about the Lowe's Scholarship. The Lowe's Charitable and Educational Foundation is focusing on providing the Carl Buchan Scholarship to qualifying Lowe's employees and dependents, and is not offering the Lowe's Scholarship in 2014. We do support scholarship funds through partnerships with various organizations; more information is available at www.lowes.com/community".

Lowe's Scholarship Carl Buchan

If you are a Lowe's employee, spouse/domestic partner, or children of an employee, you may be eligible for the Carl Buchan scholarship program.

The Carl Buchan Scholarship is awarded to 50 high school seniors who plan to enroll full time as a freshmen next fall, or current undergraduate college students who have completed at least one semester of college.

Scholarship Award Amount - $5000

Lowes Carl Buchan Eligibility:

Minimum 3.25 GPA and community service, leadership, or work experience.

Application Check with your human resources department for more information on the The Carl Buchan Scholarship. The application deadline is usually in March of each year.
